When 10-Year-Old Entrepreneurs Lead Innovation: Vietnam’s Most Future-Ready Summer Camp

When 12-year old Hana pitched her AirPod jewelry to judges at the Shark Tank Event, she confidently presented market research. She also provided a cost analysis and highlighted competitive advantages. One judge, who owns a jewelry business in Saigon, was so impressed that she invited Hana to visit her store.
When Hana first joined our entrepreneurship program, she and her team didn’t take it too seriously. But as the course progressed, they became increasingly invested in their company. They went through multiple design iterations and product tests to get it right. By the end of the program, their dedication paid off. They won First Place at the event, creating a lasting memory they carried with them into high school.
The Skills Kids Need to Compete in the Future

By 2030, up to 375 million workers worldwide will need new skills due to automation (McKinsey). But here’s what most parents don’t realize: the skills of the future aren’t just technical. They’re entrepreneurial.
The human skills that AI can’t replace:
- Creative problem-solving under uncertainty
- Leading teams through complex challenges
- Identifying opportunities others miss
- Communicating ideas persuasively
- Adapting quickly to change
AI and automation will handle routine tasks. The edge belongs to those who can think, build, and lead.
Your child will likely work in jobs that don’t exist yet, using technologies not yet invented, solving problems we haven’t identified. The most important question is not what they should learn, but how they should learn to think.
Why Traditional STEM Camps Fall Short
Vietnam has seen an explosion of STEM schools. Most follow the same outdated model. Kids build fun projects by following step-by-step instructions. They might learn to code a game or assemble a robot, but they rarely ask the crucial questions: Who would use this? What problem does it solve?

Quantum Makers Studio Inventrepreneur Summer Camp flips the script entirely. Our students start with real problems they discover themselves, then build solutions that matter.
Instead of asking: “How do I build this?”
We ask: “Who needs this, and why?”
This future-focused approach teaches kids to solve problems, not just complete tasks. It’s the difference between following instructions and thinking like an entrepreneur.
Your Child’s Gateway to Innovation
The Inventrepreneur Camp serves as an introduction to the deeper innovation and entrepreneurship pathway available at Quantum Maker Studio. The camp is designed to give students a taste of the problem-solving and product-development experiences that our full-term entrepreneurship course offers.
For students who want to go further, our comprehensive program provides the opportunity to launch real-world products and participate in events like the Shark Tank competition where students like Hana made a lasting impact. The camp helps you discover if your child has the passion and aptitude for this deeper entrepreneurial journey.
Real Problems, Real Solutions
Week 1: Guided Innovation with Purpose

Students build real projects like LED desk lamps and solar jars, but we don’t stop at simply assembling the parts. In class, we explore why existing designs might fail, who might benefit from these projects, and how products can solve everyday problems. We discuss real-world examples and encourage students to think about how they might make improvements based on user needs.
Example: Minh (10) built a solar jar project with an easy-to-carry handle and a large on/off switch. Through class discussions, we explored how these design choices make the product safer and more accessible, especially for young children or elderly family members. While students don’t conduct formal market research during camp, they learn to connect design choices to the people who might use them.
The learning goes far beyond electronics. Students practice thinking about how their projects might fit into real life and begin to understand that good design considers the user’s experience.
Week 2: Independent Innovation Challenge
Students brainstorm their own projects and develop unique solutions with creative freedom. This isn’t about building the most technically complex project. It’s about demonstrating entrepreneurial thinking and trying to solve small, meaningful problems they can relate to.
Example: Linh (11) noticed her younger brother’s constant struggle with art supply organization. During camp discussions, we explored how she could create a custom solution using recycled materials, simple circuits, and LED lighting. She developed a working prototype and shared it proudly with her peers, demonstrating thoughtful design and problem-solving inspired by someone close to her.
Building Tomorrow’s Innovators
Entrepreneurial Mindset Development

Students develop what psychologists call “creative self-efficacy.” This is the belief that they can solve problems and create meaningful solutions. This confidence extends far beyond the camp experience.
Core Skills Students Develop:
- Problem Identification: Learning to notice challenges in everyday life
- Creative Thinking: Generating multiple solutions to problems
- Design Process: Understanding how to improve products through iteration
- User Empathy: Considering how others might use their creations
- Presentation Skills: Sharing ideas clearly and confidently
- Collaboration: Working effectively in teams to achieve goals
Real Impact on Student Development
Parents consistently report that their children:
- Take more initiative on school projects
- Tackle complex challenges confidently
- Show natural leadership in group work
- Become more comfortable with public speaking
- Develop stronger critical thinking skills
- Approach problems with creative solutions rather than giving up
Beyond Camp: The Full Entrepreneurship Journey
For students who discover a passion for innovation during camp, Quantum Makers Studio offers a comprehensive entrepreneurship program where students like Hana develop real businesses, conduct market research, and compete in events with actual judges and prizes.
Why Parents Choose Inventrepreneur Camp
“My child already spends too much time on screens.”
Our students use technology as a creative tool for problem-solving, not passive entertainment. They learn to be creators, not just consumers. Parents report that children become more intentional about their technology use after camp.
“Will this actually help with school performance?”
Absolutely. Entrepreneurial thinking directly enhances academic performance. Students who learn to identify problems and propose solutions show improved critical thinking, better performance on open-ended assignments, stronger presentation skills, and increased confidence in group projects.
“Isn’t my child too young for entrepreneurship?”
We don’t teach complex business theory to young children. We teach creative problem-solving, user empathy, and solution development. The entrepreneurial concepts emerge naturally through hands-on experience. Children this age are actually ideal entrepreneurs because they’re naturally curious, unafraid of failure, and think outside conventional boundaries.
“How do I know if my child will benefit?”
Perfect candidates are curious kids who ask “why” and “what if” frequently, enjoy building or creating things, and like sharing their ideas with others. No technical experience required. Some of our most successful students had never worked with circuits before joining us.
